Just to let you know the easiest alernative library for conisbrough and denaby people if their libraries close is Mexbrough not Edlington. I really hope this doesn’t happen as me and my daughter use Conisbrough Library, nearly every week, and if it closes we will not access another. It will be upsetting as Conisbrough is also near the local secondary school as is good reference for them pupils. It not only is going to ruin a community its also going to have an impact on education.

    Hi Carry,

Thanks for letting us know, I’ll change that on the map. If you’d be able to print off some petition forms, get people in Conisbrough to sign them and return them to us that would be fantastic: http://bit.ly/sdlpetition

I’m confused about Conisbrough library. Is it being closed? This Free Press article doesn’t list it in the 14:

    a href=”http://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/news/doncaster-news/mayor_apologises_as_doncaster_s_cabinet_approves_library_cuts_1_3046095″ title=”Link to Free Press article from 4th Feb”>

Yet, the banner at the top of this website does include it?

Can anyone please confirm if it is to close? It’s closure would be a devastating loss to the community.

The council announced on Friday that it would not be closed. Yet. They have taken Conisborough and Cantley off the list and put Intake and Balby on instead.
